Early Education Center
"PRESCHOOL"
Since 1975 the Early Education Center has been a safe haven for kids age 3-5 to develop their own unique, individual skills and talents. The center provides a healthy, loving child centered environment to aid kids in their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth.
Program
An average day can involve art, music, dramatic play, language development, listening skills, large and small motor activities, creative play and Bible stories. Occasional field trips and special visitors. The school year begins in September, ends in May, and follows the vacation schedule of the Berea Public Schools Calendar. For a full description of the inner works of the program please consult the Parent Handbook.
The faculty, have been carefully selected for the experiences and their evident love for children. All teachers have an Early Childhood Education degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and each assistant teacher has had prior experience, and has earned, either, an Early Childhood Education degree or certification from the Department of Human Services.
Enrollment
You can enroll anytime during the year! However, space is limited to maintain the desired student to facility ratio. Students must be 3 by October 1 for the 3-year-old class and 4 by October 1 for the 4-year-old or Pre-K class — or have the approval of the director.
Everyone needs to be toilet trained. The Application plus $75 per family plus $10 for each additional child registered is due with the application which needs to be dropped off at the church office.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available to assist with tuition. Decisions are based on need and made by an independent Scholarship Committee. All information is kept confidential. The application and supporting information should be dropped off at the church office.
